Baby number three is due in April :) :) :)
Girl?
It doesn't matter.
I guess I have always seen myself as a "boy mom"....er, because I have boys. So adding a third little man to our testosterone packed house sure would be easy.
For a fleeting moment I did allow myself to think this baby MIGHT be a girl. That's because the baby's heart was beating at a quick 164 bpm during our last ultrasound.
But all thoughts of a baby girl have now left my mind.
Why? Because I feel the exact same way I did when I was pregnant with the boys! No nausea, a few headaches and a massive craving for ANY type of bar-b-que....pulled pork, ribs, bbq chicken, etc.
But, and this is a big BUT, bbbbuuuuuttttttt if this baby is a girl...
1. I would pick my jaw up off the floor
2. Chris and I would start arguing over girl names (oddly, we have agreed upon many, many boy names but we've never once agreed on a girl name)
3. I would begin planning a MAJOR nursery makeover
4. Chris would have to learn how to change girl diapers
5. I would eagerly await the reaction of the "it's a girl" moment from all the people who have recently told me they hope we have a girl
6. Shopping, shopping and more shopping
7. Inform the boys that their new mission in life is to protect their little sister
8. Ask Granny to knit me a pink baby blanket
On the other hand, if this baby is a boy (which I'm sure it is)...
1. Set up crib
2. Buy diapers
That's it. Set up the crib and buy diapers.
I want a boy because I pretty much have this whole boy thing mastered.
I want a girl because it will be something new and exciting.
I really just want a healthy baby, so #3 is in God's hands and we'll take whatever He gives us.
Until then, we'll be waiting patiently for his/her arrival. The second trimester is almost here!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm sending you a huge hug from Milwaukee. I'm absolutely thrilled for your family. :) XOXO
